Changing the system from within the system.

Do we need an emergency situation to awake? Yes we do need one most of the time. We only get awake when a Parliament attack, Mumbai attack, Samjhouta express attack, Mumbai local Train attack etc do occur. The problem is not that we get awake when the crisis occurs. But the problem is we fall back to sleep when the crisis is over . Let’s stop doing falling back to sleep. Whenever a crisis occurs the first thing we think is that we need change the system. We essentially first point our finger to the corrupt politics system, intelligence system, police system etc. The more we can name the more points we score as if we are in a mission only to find who the culprits are. I have a problem with this notion of only fault finding and essentially taking no action based on the finding. Who comprises the system? None but us. The collective individuals comprise the system. It’s we who give birth to a corrupted system and continue to feed the system with corruption in everyday. How? Let m

Promise

I have promises to keep. The promise to reach you again, The promise to hold your hands, The promise to shake off the fear deep down your heart, And the promise to love you again in a moonlit night before the sun takes you away. And the star twinkles in the midst of darkness. The sweet memory of you keeps me cheerful even in sadness. The horse keeps moving with dust flowing around. Perhaps the star showing me the way to the West has died many a springs back. Only twinkling to remind me of my promises. Maybe someday it will stop twinkling. The light that’s keeping the bond with me may stop reaching me some night. And some hollow darkness may keep staring at me and my helplessness. The horse not knowing to fatigue is moving on. It has no promise to keep except to move on. Many a people rode it and perhaps many will. Will I ever be able to reach you? Will you be still there with two hands stretched to give me a tight hug? Or like the star will you stop waiting?

Deep sleep

And you make me awoke and went away. Far away, too far to catch another glimpse of you. The peace of night shattered. The day’s hard work no more brings a much needed sleep. The soothing music fails. And the rocks not hard enough to make me dog-tired to bed. With dumb expectation I lay down. Nights come and pass away. And I wait for the sound of whistle of night guards to fade away into the silence of night . Pill can you help me to bring my sleep back? Peace will not come back I know. Sleep I want you back. Deep sleep.
